Forums
Learning, sharing, and leading
The Fisheries Forum hosted a series of 16 “forums” that convened regional fishery management council members, council staff, NOAA Fisheries staff, and invited experts to explore shared challenges in a neutral setting. The cornerstone of the Fisheries Forum’s project portfolio, the forums provided a unique opportunity for fishery management professionals to build their networks and share ideas and experience between regions. The forums were open to participation by all currently serving council members and staff.
Each forum explored a timely topic of cross-regional importance through presentations and facilitated discussions. Forum agendas were developed with extensive input from the management community, and offered participants the opportunity to discuss challenges, innovations, and success stories, build leadership skills, and enhance their understanding of fisheries science and policy.
Resources from past forums include agendas, summaries, presentations, videos, and links to additional resources.
