The Environmental Justice Lab

The Environmental Justice Lab is devoted to the study of environmental justice and questions at the intersection of race, poverty, and the environment. Led by Christopher Timmins in Duke University’s Department of Economics and Kay Jowers in Duke’s Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, the lab began in January 2017 with backing from the Trinity Fund. It now houses a team comprised of undergraduates, master’s degree, and doctoral students.
