Since the Nicholas Institute was founded in 2005, it has grown into a major nonpartisan participant in key debates surrounding climate change, the economics of limiting carbon pollution, oceans governance and coastal development, emerging environmental markets and freshwater concerns at home and abroad.
Though the Institute doesn’t take sides, it strives to help decision makers in business, industry, government and the nonprofit sector better anticipate their choices by providing a sound understanding of these, and many of the world’s other, complex environmental issues.
